Description: Students examine an addition word problem and solution, and analyze the work done to solve the problem in order to learn how to identify clues in the word problem that indicate the correct strategy and operation to use. The teacher and students engage in a discussion about the given student work, and try to determine what they did correctly, and what they did incorrectly, in solving for what the word problem asked for.
