In this lesson, students continue generating equivalent fractions using fraction strips and the number line. Working in pairs, they create number lines on sentence strips for specified intervals, and partition their number lines into two different fractional units (for example, thirds and sixths). Then they do a museum walk and note as many equivalent fractions on another pair's number line as they can.
