Finding the Right Distance

This Instructional Activity is a part of the Lesson 11, Unit 8, Grade 8. The purpose of this task is for students to think about a general method for finding the distance between two points on the coordinate plane. Students do not need to formalize this into a more traditional representation of the distance formula. In groups of 4, each student will find the distance between two coordinate pairs and then share how they completed their calculations.
