In this lesson, students continue to work with counting from 10 to 1, using the sentence stem "one less than". First, they work a pictorial representation of stairs, counting down each step using "one less than". Then they name their stairs by matching 5-group cards to each of the steps. Finally, students share with their partners how they count the stairs the "one less" way.
